Tree Felling Completed

As you will have seen, the trees that were condemned in the Tree Survey have now been felled.

Before the work was undertaken we agreed that the branches would be shredded but the logs would be left next to the hedges. There were three reasons for this decision:

• It was cheaper.

• The log piles make a good refuge for insects and small mammals.

• Residents may want to take some of the logs for themselves, for instance for wood-burning stoves. If you have a chainsaw then please help yourself.

The planning permission for the tree felling included a requirement for 6 new trees to be planted. Acorn Tree Specialist Ltd have been asked to quote for this work.
