Site Visit Report 20th November 2017

Minutes of meeting with Hannah of First Port on 20th November 2017 walk around the open spaces of Prices Lodge estate. Escorted by Kevin Morgan.

First call was to show Hannah the Scots Pine tree wich is rotten and needs to be cut down. Hannah says she has a tree surgeon who she will contact on an urgent basis.

The next call was to look at the work along Harrison Road and check the trimming of foliage. The work carried out was of poor standard. Further along Harrison Road next to number 25 there are approx. 3 trees which need to be cut down, including the tree which is undermining the wall belonging to number 25 and this tree was to have been cut down at our last visit.

The next call was to Park Lane to decide what action needs to take place o the slopping piece of ground from the edge of the pavement and it was now visible that the chain link fencing was approximately 20 feet back. At this point we came to the conclusion that this piece of land belongs to the council. Hannah said she would investigate the ownership when she got back to the office.

Regarding the open space off Poyner Close and in the unlikely event of Travellers gaining access to WPG open space Hannah stated that the cost of fencing in the access to this area would be very expensive to say the least. Of course Travellers would need to have access to a water supply. Which would need access to a water tap and would necessitate gaining access to a residents back garden. Apparently Travellers would send a scout to look at the situation as to water availability and if there is no water then they would look at other places. We would need to advise the residents to make sure that no one could gain access to their property. Food for thought ?

To conclude Hannah said she would let us have a twelve month list of dates for 2018.
