Site Visit Report 21st August 2017
Report by Kevin Morgan:
Met Hannah to escort her around William Price open space today 21st August 2017 at 10.00a.m. The purpose of the visit was to ascertain what work needs to be carried out to examine the complaints from the residents as follows:-
Hornbeam tree outside No. 30WPG in the open space which was cut down but the roots keep growing and need to be ground off as the main stump is a trip hazard, The Gardeners say that they do not have a grinding machine but to my knowledge most tree surgeons do have a grinding tools, if they do not have one they could hire one.
The resident of No. 25 Harrison Rd is worried that the tree maybe undermining his brick wall. The tree in question is growing on the edge of WPG the roots are forcing up the tarmac pavement. Hannah has suggested that this tree be cut down and I agree. The rear garden has a problem with overgrown trees which need trimming back on our side of the border. Hannah is actioning with Gardeners.
The overgrown weeds along the whole of Harrison Rd including the overhanging branches also need cutting back, Hannah to liaise with the Gardeners.
The two gates which makes entrance to the southern water pipes needs to be put back, apparently there is a covenant which states these gates are to be maintained at our cost. Also the grass cutting. The residents who live in Park Lane next to our piece land going down to our border with Park Lane are asking whether our gardeners could pick up the litter along this stretch (god only knows where the litter is generating from)
The border on Park Lane along the pavement up the incline upto our fencing next to Northwood Estate needs to be cut on a slope alongside our fence down to the pavement edge, Hannah to liaise with Gardeners.
Notes by Paul Johnson subsequent to the visit:
First, sorry this has taken so long to put up on the web site.
Second, we have checked the Land Registry entry for the open space. The covenants with Portsmouth Water are listed, but make no mention of the gates. We are checking with Hannah about this.
