Cars parked on William Price Gardens

We have been continuing to talk to Fareham Borough Council (FBC) about the problem with non-residents using the estate as a long-stay car park. Previously we had been told that in general Residential Parking Zones are not considered financially viable and therefore no new ones will be created.

I wrote to Chris Oldham, the "Traffic and Design Manager" at FBC asking for a meeting to discuss the available options. I got a reply saying that responsibility for all parking restrictions other than Residential Parking Zones has been taken away from FBC by Hampshire County Council (although FBC retains responsibility for enforcement), so that left no options at all.

However in a follow-up email Katrina Trott, our local coucillor, said that she would consult with a senior planner about the possibility of a Residential Parking Zone. I will let you know the outcome.
