Parking and Speeding In William Price Gardens – Part 2

As you are aware I wrote a recent article on speeding and parking on the estate because in my opinion excessive speeding and inconsiderate parking are an accident waiting to happen. In that article I quoted Chris Oldham’s response to our enquiry regarding changes to parking restrictions on the estate. The main point of his response is as follows:
“To conclude, yes I would be happy to consider changing the waiting restrictions if we have some indication (as suggested by Mr Saunders) that a good proportion of the residents would want this. What this means is not that I need further convincing of the merits of taking this to the next stage, but rather that this needs to wait its turn to become prioritised high enough.”
To date I have only had feedback from 3 residents which hardly constitutes a good proportion in my book. If any resident has a view please e-mail the address on the web site or contact one of the committee. In the previous article a number of options were postulated it might be worth re-reading to acquaint yourselves with our thinking.
This will be an agenda item for the forthcoming AGM in late September.
