Spring has sprung
The bird is on the wing
But that’s absurd
The wing is on the bird
Possibly a bit optimistic with my timing but there is a lot of new growth in the triangular patch at the entrance to the estate. This patch was cultivated by our guerrilla army after months of haggling with both Hampshire County Council and Fareham Borough Council as to how best to replace the triangular mud bath at the estate entrance. Whilst admitting responsibility they claimed lack of funds prevented improvement work. Hence the guerrilla army intervention.
Some of the new growth in the patch is the welcome return of the daffodils. However, at the time of writing there are a large number of weeds and grass showing there unwelcome presence and a couple of the shrubs are looking a bit peaky. However, the guerilla army are also stirring and I have been assured by the alpha male, think about it, that by the time this article goes to press shrubs will be replaced if necessary, weeds removed and bark chips replenished, thereby retaining an aesthetically pleasing entrance to the estate.
