Tree survey completed
As part of the management of the Prices Lodge Estate FirstPort have commissioned a regular survey of the trees on the landscaped areas. As managing agents they have a legal duty to prevent forseeable harm from falling trees or branches. The previous survey was three years ago, and an update was due.
As the cost of the survey is charged to the Estate management FirstPort have consulted the Committee on how extensive the survey should be and how frequently it should be carried out. FirstPort's recommendations are in line with accepted good practice, and the Committee decided to accept them.
The main findings of the report are that a Wych Elm next to Harrison Road probably has Dutch Elm Disease and should be felled, and that ivy is starting to grow back up a number of trees and needs to be dealt with.
